CHINA COX a local TV News reporter interviews LES MOORE, comic book shop owner and witness to an unfolding event. Excitement in the air.
Beside me here is Lester Moore, the owner of a comic book shop located directly across from the alley where the fall occurred and, as you can see by the crowd behind me, the center of what is growing into quite a scene. Mr. Moore?
Can you tell us what you witnessed?
Well, I heard the ringing and came out my store to see him come stumbling out of that alley.
How’d he look? Was he hurt?
He was banged up, but if he’s anything like his old man it’ll take more than a fall off a 3 story building to slow Leadcatcher down. --Right gang?!
CHEERS from a young crowd.
And we're hearing that he climbed right back up another building and went right on jumping. Did you witness any of that?
No, I couldn't see where he disappeared around the corner there, but I wouldn't doubt it.
Alright, Les Moore, who witnessed Leadcatcher's fall, actually you heard it first and then you saw the aftermath, I want to thank you very much for sharing your observations with us.
Not a problem, and if I may also say just a few words to all those Leadcatcher fans out there that we’re gonna have the brand new Leadcatcher cards in next week and on Saturday, March 3, we’re going to be coming together here at Les Moore’s Universe for a ‘Shadows of the Empire’ event. And just a word to the wise for you Space Voyagers fans, the king inkers are gonna be here. Can’t say who they are right now, but for you fans-- they're twins!
Okay, thank you.
Saturday, March 3, I know where I'll be. Right gang?!
(leading a chant)
Lead Lives! Lead Lives!
Young crowd starts to chant ‘Lead Lives!’
In Riverfront. China Cox. News 4 Zenith.
The following may be spoken by a reporter other than CHINA COX (going for an airwaves collage effect) but are considering her character for them as well.
#1 - Straight report of an evolving story, with energy
REPORTER (TV OR RADIO)
Alright, we have some updated information. We are now hearing that the streets around the fall will not be closed off, as was previously reported. Traffic is being permitted through the intersection of Furman & Wesley
but Zenith police are asking people without business in the area not to come down here tonight and warning that open containers will be ticketed.
#3 - Snippet of a larger piece
REPORTER (TV OR RADIO) (CONT’D)
Rising to their feet to do the zoom every time the image of Leadcatcher stumbling was shown
#4 - Local big city TV news, on location
LOCAL TV REPORTER
Braveboy tribute weekend continues tomorrow here at the Superhero Cafe with the cape hanging ceremony. The ZEDS recently completed a $5 million renovation of the space to emphasize Braveboy’s cape as the centerpiece of the room. The case is temperature and light controlled, the special glass being the same as is used in the National Archives to preserve the Declaration of Independence.
#6 - End of night report, last thoughts before signing off
Downtown tonight, the ZEDS were paying tribute to Zenith’s greatest superhero. But for the young fans gathered here in Riverfront, most of whom weren’t even born the last time Braveboy flew, the new Leadcatcher is the only real superhero they’ve ever known.
Now that the ZEDS have agreed to help bring him in, he can’t last long but while he remains free,
he’s a taste of what the ************************************ used to be all about. Live in Riverfront, I’m China Cox
