Project Main Details
The whole piece is narrated, and we're looking for a storyteller. The VO consists of both Narration as well as characters' voices. We do NOT want "character" voice performances. It should always be the Narrator's voice and tenor, but when a character speaks the Narrator makes a slight shift to differentiate between his voice and the voice of the person/character. Bottom line, this is a storyteller telling a story (sincere, with gravitas; again, not an overly-caricaturized storyteller), not creating multiple different performances.
We are open to any adult age range, from young to old. Just be yourself; please don't "affect" another age than your own. Also, if you'd like to do a 2nd pass (or at least part of the script) with a British accent we'd be interested in hearing that, but not necessary. 2010-12-07 17:27:42 GMT 2010-12-11 23:00:00 (GMT -06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 0 0 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. (No need to read the "NARRATOR", "JOSEPH", etc. designations, just the lines.)
Joseph was his father’s favorite son. Everyone knew it. Joseph had a dream, and one day he told his brothers about it.
"We were out in the field, tying up bundles of wheat. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles gathered around and bowed down to it."
ONE OF JOSEPH’S BROTHERS:
"Do you really think you are going to be king and rule over us?"
Now they hated Joseph more than ever.
ONE OF JOSEPH’S BROTHERS:
"Look, here comes the hero of those dreams! Let’s kill him and throw him into a pit.”
They pulled off his fancy coat and threw him into a dry well.
"What will we gain if we kill our brother? Let's sell him instead.”
The others agreed, and they sold him for twenty pieces of silver.
Joseph was taken to Egypt and sold to a man named Potiphar, who was the king’s official. Soon Potiphar saw that the Lord made Joseph successful in everything he did. He put Joseph in charge of his house and his property, and he too began to prosper.
