Script:

The most vulnerable part of the Earth is its atmosphere. It’s so thin, humans are changing its composition. We are filling up our thin shell of atmosphere with pollution.

Consequentially, instead of the Sun's radiation reflecting off of the Earth, it’s being trapped and held inside our thick and polluted atmosphere, excessively heating the world. Statistics show that the rise of global CO2 emissions is directly connected to the rise of global temperature.

Drinking-water for more than 40% of the people on Earth comes from rivers and springs fed by water steadily melting off of glaciers. But within the next 50 years, there will not be a single glacier left on this planet. The melting of glaciers and ice caps will cause the global sea level to rise by more than 20 feet, devastating coastal areas all over the world.

The increase in the ocean's temperature is causing more and worse storms, such as hurricanes and tornados. The number of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes has doubled in the last 30 years. Heat waves are becoming more frequent and more intense. Wildfires are occurring more often, releasing more CO2 into the atmosphere. Global warming is causing more drought, acid rain, invasive exotic species, and diseases from mosquitoes, rodents, flies, lice, algae, ticks, bats, fleas, and snails.

More than a million species worldwide could be driven to extinction by 2050. Deaths from global warming will double in just 25 years to 300,000 people a year.

We are entering a period of irreversible consequences. What we take for granted today will not be here in less than 50 years. People from all countries, cultures, and societies will have to work together or face global destruction.
