There is a desire, a fundamental desire which has moved men and woman to sail vast waters, scale mountain tops and walk great distances to develop cities, cultures, religions, towns and entire civilizations. We all have this desire, both, young and old, bound and free. You will find it in every person regardless of their back ground, their race, sex or religion or political affiliation. It is the desire to feel important.
It’s this need to feel important that caused the Egyptians to build pyramids and why pharaohs wanted to be buried with their treasures.
It is why kings built castles of distinction and surrounded themselves with the finest goods. Their desire to feel important drove them to conquer the world
Had our ancestors not have this desire to feel important they would not have been driven to make discoveries and innovations. It is what led a partially deaf elementary student to drop out of school and pursue his own feeling of importance. Thomas Edison later became one of the greatest inventors of all time.
Throughout history people have risked life and limb to feel important.
Today we continue to push the limit in search of finding what makes us feel important. This has been going on for all of time.
