Project Main Details

International Short Film needs German accent VO
Sing a Little Louder (Based on a true story):
A 5-minute docudrama that tells the story of an elderly man who as a young boy witnessed the horrors of the Holocaust from the pews of his Church.

An old man remembers the past, and his story takes us back to WWII Germany when he was just a boy, oblivious to the evil around him. This old man (late 80's) is the voice over narration for the short film.

One Sunday, what used to be a mundane worship service is disrupted by cries from a passing train behind their church. The disturbing interlude is brief, but recurs over the next several services at the exact same time. However, one Sunday, the train comes to a halt. The agonizing cries from the train linger and we realize it’s coming from the people who are in the box cars. The boy expecting the church to respond is shocked when the congregation muffles the screams for help by singing louder. This event has haunted the old man throughout his life.

-- We are shooting this short film in Holland this week. It will be released on Youtube in late September. --

Script Details

***custom demo required***
Those screams have haunted me for decades. There are some things that time doesn’t erase. I lived in Germany during the Nazi holocaust. I attended church since I was a small boy. A railroad track ran behind our small church, and each Sunday morning at the exact same time we heard the whistle from a distance and then the clacking of the wheels moving over the track.
