Project Main Details

Interim Review 
About 1 hour of audio for an elearning course. The course covers the benefits of the interim review and how it fits into the overall performance management cycle. It will be distributed to internal employees and will be tracked by our LMS. The voice will narrate on-screen video scribe drawing and will be almost one hour in length. Video scribing is a relatively new delivery option at our company, so we're looking for the right voice for this and future modules.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

 The objectives and benefits of the interim review
 The manager’s responsibilities prior to, during, and following the interim performance meeting as referenced in the Interim Reviews Self-Study Guide.

This is the Performance Management Cycle. The outer circle the model reflects the ‘operational’ aspects of managing performance. These tend to happen at pre-determined times during the year and generally involve a form. The inner circle reflects the skills and types of conversations needed to drive the outer ring.

The interim review is both a ‘look back’ on the first half of the year and a ‘look forward’ through year end. The purpose of the interim performance review is to give employees a formal documented assessment of their work at mid-year to reinforce what’s going well and what needs to be improved. This step is critical to ensure that objectives are still relevant to business needs and to provide an opportunity to redirect or reinforce current performance to be able to achieve established goals.

There are several benefits of the interim review. Here are a few:

• It’s easier to remember wins and challenges in six month chunks
• It’s a good point to seek and receive clarification
• You can consider changes to goals and development plans
• There is enough time left in the performance management cycle to achieve results- course correct performance
• It releases some of the pressures (and surprises) from one per year performance meetings
