Inspiration in the land of the pharos
This is a piece that will be the basis for an ad touting Egypt as a source of inspiration to the world. For reference please look up “India poised” Amitabh Bachchan (the English version) for a reference of tone (inspirational- old- wise- insightful- hopeful) – this is essentially a demo, as the final version will be preformed by a leading actor (all Sean Connery impersonators are extremely encouraged to record a demo in character!) – The piece should be accompanied with an inspirational soundtrack that befits the grandeur and intensity of the script. The script is delivered by a single actor standing on the desert sand, with a sprawling vast expanse behind him, as the script is delivered, swift cuts are made, to show 1) the vastness of time, 2) the rise and fall of civilizations (Greek stone faces, citys rising from the dust, ect), 3) monuments of achievement (pyramids, the great statue of Ramses, possibly the Aswan high damn), 4) the modern metropolis and the new age of achievement. The actor concludes the piece by stating that “Egypt is reaching, pushing, and brimming with the drive… to do better…” and walks off into the distance looks back and smiles finally saying “The picture is bigger than you can imagine”
