Hunting TV Show
LTK91025947758X
This is the third season a Hunting Adventure Television. Our show is cross-branded with a highly respected Hunting Magazine. Our show is a sophisticated, informative and educational look at some very high-end hunts around the world. The median age of our viewer is 50.9 years, and the avg. HHI is $106.000. The hunts we profile run from around $5000 to around $85,000. The point is that we are reaching an educated, well rounded, successful hunter and selling them some premium products.

Think of it as the "Travel & Leisure" of hunting shows. I want it to sound authoritative with a smile, a happy and dignified tone. It would be best if the voice talent is a hunter, as it seems only hunters truly understand when and why they get excited. Most of our writers who double as on air talent have been in the field for thirty years and never lose their composure. The show is 30 minutes, total narration is between 7 to 12 minutes.

Finally, I need this to be recorded in a legitimate studio and posted to a public idisk as an .aiff

Thanks for your interest.

Script provided by the voice seeker:

Intro: Mozambique. In colonial times, it
was a possession of the Portugese
and a favorite haunt of the old ivory
Hunters.

In the final decades of the last
century, civil war tore the country
apart, and hunting came to an end.

Fortunately, a new day has dawned
and today Mozambique is once
again a popular destination for
hunters from around the globe.

Bordering the Indian Ocean,
Mozambique offers a rich habitat
for wildlife of all species. Scores
of rivers traverse its bushland
on their journey to the sea. Buffalo,
elephant and plains game are
plentiful and trophy quality is high.

Come with us as Hornady’s Wayne
Holt and Ruger’s Ken Jorgensen
join host Craig Boddington on a
safari you’ll not soon forget on
Petersen’s Hunting Adventures.

Google Open: Our destination is the southern
African country of Mozambique
that lies to the east of Zimbabwe
along the Indian Ocean coastline.

We’ll be hunting on professional
hunter J.P. Kleinhans’ Mahimba
concession, a game-rich area noted
for its large herds of Cape buffalo
and assorted plains game. This is the first time that Ruger’s new .375 rifles will be used in the field with the potent new cartridge developed by Hornady.

When hunting a herd, you’ve first
got to sort our your bull from the
heaving mass of black bodies…

…Then, you take every chance offered to close the gap, ever fearful that the wind might change, thus carrying your scent to the buffalo and causing them to stampede…

…Finally, you wait for the bull to
step clear. Your nerves are as taunt
as a bowstring and your concentration focused on your target.

10:14 – 10:54 Herd animals, including buffalo, are
instinctually protective. After your
shot and the animal drops, the herd
will often move off fifty yards or so
from their fallen comrade and then
turn to face the threat. Sometimes,
young bulls will even return to stand guard over the fallen herd bull. This is a dangerous time when things could go disasterously wrong. Now,
the PH will attempt to scatter the herd by waving his arms madly,
yelling, and sometimes firing over
the backs of the buffalo. Once the herd departs the hunters can approach their fallen prey.

13:14 J.P. spots a good waterbuck bull
and he and Craig dismount to
stalk in close for a shot.

16:17 With Wayne’s sable bull spotted,
he and J.P. double-time through
the bush to get into position.

20:12 Hunting crocodile calls for a change
in transportation, from safari car
to motorboat.

In the heat of the day, these prehistoric, cold-blooded reptiles like to sun themselves along the muddy riverbanks.

Coming ashore, the hunters will make a difficult stalk through
cloying mud and thick riverine
undergrowth, all the while
searching the opposite bank for
a sunbathing croc.

21:53 The brush is incredibly thick.
Pointed, razor-sharp palm branches
makes the going slow and bloody
as the hunters move ever closer to their unsuspecting prey.
