Project Main Details

Human Micro biome Examples of Symbiosis
The Genetic Science Learning Center is a science and health education program located in the midst of the bioscience research being carried out at the University of Utah. Our mission is making science easy for everyone to understand. Currently, we are in production on a learning module called Human Microbiome that focuses on examples of symbiosis. The animated module will be accessible to a general audience, but is targeted towards seventh-grade students.

The voice-over in this project should be direct and easy to understand, and it should be stylistically similar to science documentaries and other educational media. Clear and accurate pronunciation is essential.

This project has a great deal of science terminology, so a member of our science staff will be available as a pronunciation consultant via email for the hired voice talent. Below are links to similar projects. Interested applicants should study these and other resources on our websites that include voice-over.

*For the final product, I would like the voice talent to send me 3 good takes of each section so that I may edit together the best possible final product. I will communicate with the hired voice talent after auditions to verify drop box instructions.

Script Details

***custom demo required***
For decades, scientists have studied the complex symbiotic societies of tropical, fungus-eating leafcutter ants. These tiny farmers collect small pieces of leaves, which provide nutrients for their underground fungal gardens. More recently, an observant researcher noticed that a white, powdery crust on the ants' bodies was actually a layer of streptomycetes bacteria.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
