Streamline your business
Over the past year, we celebrated the successful launch of Access Medical Purchasing, or AMP. More than 2,400 members have already signed up to increase their buying power with AMP and reap the benefits of this exclusive savings program.
We also built a strategic alliance with eClinicalWorks after an intensive 18-month due diligence process. This award-winning EMR system is used by more than 60,000 physicians nationwide. It is now available to you with favorable pricing negotiated just for ASPS members, and modules customized specifically for plastic surgery.
These are only a few new solutions for member practices.
Update your team
We brought the news to you in 2012, with the launch of our weekly news brief PSN Connection. Like your own personal research assistant, this powerful tool saves you time by updating your team with key headlines selected by the society.
Last year, ASPS launched the iPad application for PRS, and has now celebrated more than 12,000 downloads worldwide.
Enhance your skills
Three new clinical symposia launched this year to further expand our diverse array of offerings, and provide more opportunities for physicians to learn and build new ideas together.
Challenging Complications in July in Washington, D.C.
Joint Meeting with BAPRAS in London, December 2012
Regenerative Medicine Summit in Turnbee Isle, Miami, March 2013.
This year we also launched monthly Surgical Spotlight online videos on PSEN, filmed by our in-house creative and production team. These provide timely, easy-to-access learning resources that have helped us to expand internationally, forging partnerships with societies around the world.
Plus we introduced a free member benefit for all PRS subscribers with the launch of the English-language Brazilian journal PRS “Revista.”
This year, ASPS also focused on your patients by introducing powerful initiatives to inform consumers, expand your offering of hope, and advocate for best practices.
We initiated the National Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Campaign to enable women to make informed choices that will help them to feel whole again. For two years, Grammy award-nominated singer Jewel has made a powerful impact as our national campaign spokesperson. To help us commemorate the first BRA Day on October 17, we built a network of charitable affiliates to hold events and raise funds to support our outreach efforts. This was a success with nearly 100 events planned nation-wide.
We also conducted a highly successful television, radio, print, and billboard campaign under the banner, “Do Your Homework.” This compelling message reminded patients to confirm that their plastic surgeons are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons.
Expand your offering of hope
We have formed an exclusive partnership with FabOver50 to help you effectively market your practice to women over 50 who are focused on health, beauty, and wellness. ASPS members will be the only doctors who have the opportunity to market to this key demographic audience through targeted online programs and innovative events.
Additionally, we launched Plastic Surgery Update this year to deliver video news releases that can add fresh new content to draw consumers to your practice website.
With the Zoom Media project, we will provide a new opportunity for you to promote your practice in health clubs and other venues in your area giving you an ad space to promote your practice during live events with targeted audiences of consumers.
In 2013, we will introduce the ASPS member app builder offering electronic patient education brochures and more . This cutting-edge technology, delivered through the AnswersMedia will provide compelling before and after patient videos to help you expand your offering of hope to more consumers.
Advocate for best practices
We signed two exclusive collaborative research and development agreements with the FDA. ASPS/PSF is now the FDA’s 50/50 partner on the National Breast Implant Registry, which now encompasses the ALCL Registry. As a result, members will be better prepared to face the inevitable requirements for data-driven outcomes measures.
Further adding to our historic events of the year, ASPS signed MOUs with Ireland, England, South Korea, and Taiwan further expanding the global reach of the society.
ASPS has worked tirelessly for you and your patients this year, providing exclusive tools to help you streamline your business, update your team, and enhance your skills. We worked hard to keep patients informed, expanded your offering of hope, and advocated for best practices in Washington and beyond.
