Project Main Details

Hiding Your Issues
This project is a senior thesis project about mental illness and not being afraid to seek help for it. Specifically, it's done in the style of a 1950's educational short going a bit wrong.

The plot is this: Our host, Mr. Brain (this is the part YOU will be voicing), informs two kids, Billy and Annie, that they have mental disorders, and he has several "good" reasons why they shouldn't do a thing about it (overmedication, society talking about them behind their back, etc.) In the process, he does more harm than good, putting the kids through hell to prove his points. The kids get fed up with his dubious advice, and decide to get some real help. Furious, the brain shows his true colors, turning evil and demonic as he tries to stop them. The kids beat him up and go get the help they deserve.

Some of the details of the short may change over time, but the basic voiceover script will stay the same.

As for payment, I am a student, so my funds are limited. I can pay a maximum of $50.

Script Details

***Please submit a custom demo***
Here's a test script. (This is not the actual dialogue in the short, but it will help me determine if you're a good fit)

MR BRAIN: Hello, boys and girls! Are you feeling depressed? Are you plagued with anxiety? Well, don't worry about professional help! You don't need it anyway! Just wait a few years or so, and you'll be just fine! And remember, if you don't listen to me...

(Brain's voice changes to something darker and distorted)

Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
