and will help us, help you, build our mutual future.
5 PILOT AND CAPTAIN INTRODUCTION
5.1 PILOT transporting the player to the base,
adressing the player, happy
Evenin' colonist, welcome onboard my Dolly! Well,
technically, she belongs to the syndicate, but
we've been together back when heck was a pup, so I
consider it just fine to call her my own! Hell,
she's more family to me than any wife I've had!
*Laughs*
Anyway, name's Buster, pleased to meet ya. The
training site is just around the rock, I'll ask
Dolly to take us down gently.
5.2 CAPTAIN, contacting the pilot over a broken
communications link, begins neutral but becomes
distressed
Come in Medusa... --- HELP! We are, I stress, under
attack! Requesting immediate assistance!
5.3 PILOT, surprised, concerned, addressing the player
Crazy chimps! Hostiles in the safe zone? Keep your
shirt on, Dolly and me can't drop you off with those
worms all over! Engaging!;
5.4 Conversation between CAPTAIN and PILOT over a broken
communications link after the threat has been
defeated
PILOT, pleased
That's the last one of them! Dolly's coming in to
land!
CAPTAIN, relieved, over a bad transmission
Thank you for the help, we were caught completely
off guard. The radar looks clear now.
PILOT
I didn't quite catch that. Repeat, pal!
CAPTAIN, louder voice
The area is clear! Thank you! Can you hear me?
PILOT, annoyed
Ah, shut it! We're coming there!
5.5 The flight lands, communication between CAPTAIN and
PILOT, with better reception
PILOT, addressing nobody in particular
Yehaa, nice and smooth as always! Now where's our
pal at?
CAPTAIN, pleased, speaks of the previous recruit
in a somewhat nervous tone (nervous laugh after
blackpainting him as a lemon)
Hey there, yeah, thanks for the help. Timely
transport of the new recruit, I must say. If only
the last one hadn't been such a lemon and poured
coffee all over the communication station, I might
have had the chance to warn you a bit earlier.
PILOT, indifferent to praise
Hah, just doin' my job. I'd love to stay, but orbit
calls my name. You can take over from here!
CAPTAIN, saying goodbye to PILOT and then
addressing the player
Godspeed partner, have a safe ride. Now let me
explain a few things around here...
5.6 CAPTAIN is explaining the game rules, addresses the player,
feels more relaxed now when he has highest authority
First and foremost, no drinks of any kind.
Secondly, these are the Solar Plants. They PRODUCE
energy.
These are the Energy Links. They TRANSPORT energy.
Everything needs energy!
Harvesters use the energy to collect resources from
rocks and stuff, which earns us cash! Cash is used
to buy more buildings.
Your job here is to earn us two hundred creds! Shouldn't
be too hard, simply build more Harvesters!
5.7 After a delay, CAPTAIN repeats information to the player
Like I said, your job is to earn us cash. Build
Energy Links and some Harvesters, that'll do the job!
5.8 CAPTAIN encourages the player when half the sum has been
collected
Well done, only 100 credits remaining.
5.9 After a moment a number of enemies appear and CAPTAIN
gets nervous again
Aaargh! More aliens are approaching from the east! Make
sure they don't destroy our base!
6 PILOT GAME MESSAGES
6.1 PILOT dropping off the player in a new game, wishes him/her
good luck, encouraging
Good luck!
6.2 PILOT dropping off the player in a new creative mode game,
happy tone
There are no scores to beat here! Have fun!
6.3 PILOT dropping off the player in a new game where there's
a score to beat, encouragin
Try to top your score! Good luck!
