Oooh! Oooh, well hello there!

The WITCH quickly drops the can of whipped cream, hitches up her dress, and hustles over to HANSEL and GRETEL.

WITCH
Oh, well bless my stars, whatever are you two ducklings doing out here?

GRETEL hides behind her brother’s arm, clutching it with both fists. HANSEL stands still, blinking and with his mouth hang

HANSEL
I... we’re lost. We got lost.

GRETEL
(loud whisper)
We don’t know if we’re in a forest of the woods.

The WITCH begins to stumble back to the COTTAGE.
