Julietta La Roue, is pronounced "LA-ROO"

Please send a short custom demo of the script.
NARRATOR: Fade out… Fade in. And welcome to Hollywood. Where there's a shattered sunset on every boulevard. A broken heart, buried beneath every yard. Take this house for example. Sure it looks lovely. A house at the end of a quiet road. A place you could happily spend a lifetime. But something is odd in the window at the top. The old grandfather clock seems to have stopped. A minute shy of the 13th hour, the hands remain frozen, only a deathly curse could cause such an occasion. A place to spend a lifetime? Thats what Julietta thought, at first.

Quiet you! (this is in reference to Julietta shouting "Let me out! Let me out!" Julietta who, you ask? Why Julietta La Roue. The movie star. Sure you remember her. Hollywood's hit girl, 1939, movie-land's next big thing. That's her portrait in the window. Julietta's career was just taking off. When she had to go and get married.

And all her friends warned her not to marry Billy Valentine. Billy was just a two bit screen-writer, with a very shady past. Married once before, but his first wife died mysteriously, along with their young daughter. Both were buried in the family plot on the hill. But poor Julietta wouldn't head the warnings. She was in love.

*evil chuckle* Happy forever? The house at haunted hill had other ideas. Let's see the house in all it's former glory shall we? It's time now to turn back the clock, 73 years ago. Fade out, fade in. Halloween, 1939. Julietta's wedding night.

You see this house was built on a haunted hill, who's graveyard held dark secrets from the past.

The starlet only saw the hungry groom. She couldn't see love's approaching doom. With all their friends gathered around, all to witness the the marriage of Billy Valentine and Julietta La Roue. There were, however, some - uninvited guests, that arrived late that night. Lilly, Billy's late wife, along with their daughter, Anna.

Oh yes, they gave that wicked groom a fright. And interrupted the wedding night, causing the clock to freeze at one minute til the 13th hour.

Julietta should have saved her breath, for how could happiness live next to so much - death!

Lilly's spell was only meant to attack Billy. But it seemed to have an effect on Julietta as well. For she was holding Billy's hand when Lilly cast the killing curse. It seemed to trap Julietta in limbo, between this world and the next. The spirits walk, the spirits roam. They've trapped her here inside her home. Years go by, she's waiting still. Inside the house at haunted hill.

Now every year, on Hallows Eve. The spirits come to wail and grieve. And haunt the second bride of Billy. While guilted wilted first wife Lilly. Rises from beneath the earth, and celebrates with grizzly mirth.

Look there, this sight not for the wary. Fade out, fade in. The cemetery!

Some say on the anniversary of her death, you can still see her portrait hanging in the window. And the clock remains frozen in place, almost waiting for the rest of the wedding to continue. Alas, 73 years have gone by, and the clock's hands have not moved since that haunted night. So now you know the story of Julietta La Roue, when she lost her life and her love when she said "I do" .
