YesN/A Technology has provided us with excellent tools to aid us in our job but with technology comes additional ways through which one can be harassed. Harassment can come in many forms and it is possible for someone to be harassed by emails , voicemail messages , instant messaging applications such as Sametime , faxes and any other way one communicates with another. It is extremely important to remember that, while a complaint may seem to be technical in nature, there may also be harassment involved. For example, an employee contacts the HRC and complains about receiving offensive emails or SPAM. You should not immediately assume that this issue should be handled by ***************************************** because it has to do with email. You must be able to recognize the ER issues that may be hidden within a technical complaint. Conversely, the **** will be provided training to be able to recognize issues that should be forwarded to the HRC. In the email example I just gave, an employee that feels harassed by offensive emails may call the **** first. Since the **** is not trained to handle ER issues, the **** rep will contact the HRC so that the appropriate HR resources can be engaged.
