Project Main Details

Gorongosa Rising Wildlife Documentary
We are a student group who has recently had the chance to travel to Africa and film a 20 minute documentary on the restoration of Gorongosa National Park. We have had the chance to work with award winning National Geographic filmmaker Bob Poole and Pulitzer Prize winning biologist E.O Wilson. We are looking for a warm, compassionate voice to help us tell the beautiful story of a national park which is working to rebuild the thousands of animals killed during and after Civil War.

Script Details

*** Please submit custom audition.
In the 1960’s Gorongosa was home to an abundance of wildlife and treasured by the people of Mozambique. Time seemed to stand still here. But all this would soon change…”

In the late 1970’s, civil war erupted in Mozambique

Battles were fought inside Gorongosa, and wildlife was caught in the crossfire. After the conflict ended in 1992 poaching continued to go unchecked.... over the next ten years as much as 95% of the Park’s wildlife was killed. Gorongosa was left in ruins.
