Welcome to GiveaWOW! Your company has made the commitment to encourage employee recognition in your organization’s culture! This is an exciting opportunity for everyone to increase their participation in the recognition process and acknowledge the Attitudes, Behaviors and contributions that make your business go! The great news is that everyone is empowered to participate on a daily basis!
Are you ready? Okay, let’s get you set-up so that you can take full advantage of Give a WOW.
In this video, we’ll show you how to do 6 steps that will get you up and running.
• We’ll show you how to Login for the first time
• Upload your profile photo
• Sync with Facebook
• Follow your Peers
• Give some recognition
• And Download the mobile app, so you can use give a wow from anywhere
You may have received an email like this one from your employer. Click the login link and enter the user name and password you have been provided.
You will be prompted to change your password for security. Choose one you will remember!
When you login, the first thing you’ll see is the recognition wall. This is where you can see posts from others in your group. When you give or get recognition, a post will show up on the wall, along with posts from your peers.
Now that we’ve successfully logged in, Next, let’s add your photo.
Click on “My Wall.” This is where all of your personal recognition will be collected.
To add your profile photo, click on “profile” and then click the ‘photo” tab. Browse to an image on your computer and click submit. Now when we return to” my wall”, we’ll see that the photo has been uploaded.
Next, let’s sync with Facebook. This will allow the recognition you receive through Give a WOW to be posted on Facebook. To do this, return to your profile and this time click the settings tab . Click “sharing.” Now “Connect to Facebook. “ Enter your facebook login. Click Okay…and now you’re connected! You can also connect Give a WOW to your Twitter account in the same way.
We’re halfway done. Now, let’s pick some peers to follow. Click the directory tab to find others in the group. You can browse…We’ll follow Adam..Amy…Andrew… and Arvid. You can also search for peers by typing a name in the search box. We’ll also follow Bill. In addition, you can follow entire departments or locations if your program administrator has set them up for your group. We encourage you to choose at least 5 peers to follow. When you “follow” a peer, recognition for those individuals will be filtered using the following tab. You’ll also see any posts about those individuals in periodic email update reports.
Alright, now for the most important step, and the reason we’re all here—let’s give some recognition! It’s pretty simple. Click the “give a wow” button. Find someone who’s done something great. I’m going to give a high five to Joey who helped me earlier today.
The categories and award levels will be unique based on what is important to your group. We’ll choose the one that fits best.
Next we’ll add our personal comments. It’s important to be specific about the individual and their contribution.
“Joey, thanks for your work last weekend to get our new client’s program launched. It’s efforts like these that set us apart from the competition!”
Pictures make everything more fun, so if you have an image, add it.
Let’s send it!
Now, Joey will get an email with a certificate, and a link to the Give a WOW program… And our note shows up on the wall so others can comment and applaud.
That’s just about it. The last thing to do is to get the app, so you can give a wow from anywhere with a wifi connection. To get it, search ‘give a wow’ in the app store or click the link from the marquee in your give a wow program. Simply download and install it on your mobile device.
That’s it! You’re ready to get going with Give a WOW and start giving and receiving recognition for great work. Remember, appreciation can make someone’s day and even change a life. All you need to do is share it when you see it!
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
