Project Main Details

Game Introduction Voice Over
Small indie game developer producing their first project is looking for a voice talent to read the script for a video that will play at the start of the game. Here are the specifics:

Voice: Male - 60s. Should sound authoritative and experienced. The character is that of a career military officer that has seen decades of battle. He is relating the history/backstory of the wars to a young recruit (essentially orienting the player to the game prior to starting play).

Length: Script should be read between 2:45 and 3:00 of run time.

Tone: NOT cheesy or William Shatner dramatic. Strong, experienced, maybe a little jaded and tired. Edgy. A blend between Clint Eastwood and James Earl Jones (authoritative with an edge of danger).

Humanity came close to the edge. Never closer.

Why did it happen? We got lazy. We started fighting wars by proxy. First we created Drones and Crawlers. Death at the push of a button, from the other side of the planet. Then with more sophisticated artificial intelligence, we created MECHs. Fully automated killing machines. Soon there were no more soldiers. . . or generals. . . only machines.

We no longer had any skin in the game.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
