Funny Texting and Driving PSA ZDLTK152037718604X
This project, when finished, will sound much more controversial than the script posted here since we will censor the word "text" throughout. We have the capability to edit audio, so we only need the selected voice talent to submit a raw recording. This script is to be read over the phone to a dial-in audience and should be read at a relatively fluid/quick pace so that the caller doesn't lose interest or become bored or distracted enough to hang up. To further clarify this point, we definitely don't want it read unnaturally quickly (as the caller should be able to clearly understand everything being said and it should still sound normal/real to the caller), we just don't want a slow read with lots of dramatic pauses. We have a strong preference for talents who are able to do ISDN or phone patching, but this is not a requirement.

Thanks for calling. The following is a public service announcement that could save your life:
Let's be honest. Most of us like to text. And abstinence just isn't a realistic option for most people. Whether you're a guy or a girl, whether you're gay or straight, whether you're married, dating, or single, everybody likes texting. High School kids are texting more now than ever before, and even though many parents probably don't like it, we don't think there's anything wrong with it - as long as you're being safe and responsible.
You can text in bed, you can text on the couch, you can text when you're bored.
If you're drunk or horny, you can even sneak into a public bathroom and text your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend., but, in general, texting your ex- is probably a bad idea.
So anyway, there's USUALLY nothing wrong with texting.
But unfortunately, many people like to text while driving. And, as you might imagine, texting while driving is incredibly dangerous. In fact, texting while driving is as dangerous as driving drunk.
AND it makes you 23 times more likely to crash.
Ok, it was completely unnecessary for us to bleep out the word text throughout this message.

It was completely unnecessary for us to bleep out the word "text" throughout this message.
But it's just as unnecessary for YOU to text while driving.
So pass this phone number on to spread the word: Don't text and drive. [rewind sound effect] Don't text and drive.
