Project Main Details
The parents are probably late 20's to early 30's. The child is 10ish, probably male but would consider female.
We might use your audition in the finished spot. If so, we'll request a broadcast quality file when you get the job.
Although definitely not required, it you want to audition as "a family", so much the better. This is a buyout. No residuals. 2013-04-25 14:56:43 GMT 2013-04-29 12:00:00 (GMT -07:00) Mountain Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 0 0 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. MOM: Brett, your report card came today.
DAD: And your grades have dropped.
BRETT: [ABOUT AGE 10 AND UTTERLY CONFIDENT] Actually, Mom, Dad, I wanted to talk to you about that.
SFX: The button presses stop, and the game bleeps change and slow.
BRETT: These grades are unacceptable.
BRETT: So I need you two to try harder. I know you can do better.
MOM: Wait… what?
DAD: We’re responsible?
BRETT: You didn’t read the new research from BYU and other universities stating that parental involvement has more of an impact on a child’s grades than the school he or she attends?
MOM: Um… no.
BRETT: Or the study that showed the effort parents put into a child’s education can actually be more important than the child’s own efforts?
DAD: I missed that.
BRETT: Well, then. Will you two please try harder for me? Read with me? Talk with my teacher? Maybe join the PTA?
MOM: Of course.
BRETT: Thanks, guys.
MOM: In fact, we’re going to start getting more involved right now by grounding you from videogames until your homework’s done every night.
SFX: Video game music powers down with sad little sound effect.
BRETT: Well played, Mom. Well played.
ANNCR: For more ideas on how to get involved in your child’s education, visit the PTA website at UtahPTA.org.
