Francis Scott Key Part II
ZDLTK91020295389X
This short documentary (5 minutes, for the web) on Francis Scott Key is for a school connected with Key's history. The doc is in the style of Ken Burns.

Looking for someone to portray Francis Scott Key reciting The Star-Spangled Banner (parts included). It should be read as though reciting poetry. Key was refined, eloquent, sensitive and when he spoke he had a magical quality that captivated audiences. His speaking voice is described as sonorous and mellow, articulate, and beautifully eloquent. Both accents required.

Yes
one verse-
KEY (V.O.)
O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

another verse-
KEY (V.O.)
O! say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?

Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, o’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

O! say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave, o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
