Walk Thru The Bible.
Take a walk change the world.
In the beginning God created the world.
Soon after creation, man rebelled (the fall) creating a distance between God and man…. Yet God promised to send an obedient ruler
God saw that the wickedness of man was great and He sent a flood to destroy the earth.
400 years later, God made a promise to Abraham that he would be the father of a great nation. That promise came true with the birth of the nation of Israel.
After hearing the Israelites groaning, God delivered them out of slavery through Moses.
While wandering in the desert, God made a covenant with his people.
God promised Israel a land of their own, flowing with milk and honey. God continued to show is provision for the nation of Israel.
And God showed his might by crumbling the walls that surrounded Jericho through the steps of the Israelites.
When Israel seemed without a leader, God provided a king to rule over the nation.
As Israel continued to rebel against God, he spoke through the prophets longing for their obedience.
After God’s warning of judgment, the children of Israel were led into the Babylonian exile.
Then, there was silence from God… for 400 years.
But God broke the silence through he birth of Jesus.
God fulfilled his promise of an obedient ruler--God with us.
Jesus offered a sinful woman living water.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus continued to minister to the people by performing miracles—healing the lame and calming the sea-demonstrating that He is God’s Son.
He who is without sin throw the first stone.
Death proved to be conquered through the resurrection of Lazarus.
Knowing that life could only come through His death, Jesus prepared. He broke bread with his disciples.
With both the sky and the hearts of man dark, Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice.
While the hearts of his followers lie broken and all hope seemed lost the stone was rolled away at the tomb.
Jesus ascended into heaven and left the disciples to task of carrying the message of hope to the world.
God’s message spread.
This message of grace rather than works brought salvation and freedom.
