Project Main Details
The content in some places is a bit advanced and so we want voices that are upbeat and pleasing to listen to, NOT monotone or stereotypical documentary style narration.
Voices that project a feeling of trust and confidence are what we are looking for. A voice in the 30 to 45 year old range would be about right.
I am attaching sample scripts from three exhibits rather than submitting all of the scripts in the museum. Based on the reads of these scripts, we will select voices for the other exhibits. Here are passages from three of the scripts. Please read from them all (except the last one which our client has requested a female voice). We will likely have at least one male narrator and one female narrator throughout the exhibits.
1) FOMC (male and female)
The most publicly watched of all the Federal Reserve’s operations: the Federal Open Market Committee is an important component in providing conditions for economic stability. Through the FOMC the Federal Reserve Bank promotes two important economic goals that directly affect the lives of people all over the country Maximum employment and stable prices.
2) Economic Stability and Instability (male and female)
Since the mid-1980s, the United States has experienced the longest period of economic stability in its history. With strong economic growth and low inflation, businesses made investments with confidence; consumers trusted banks with their savings; credit was readily available to qualified borrowers. People saved, invested and produced, generating a steady rise in our nation’s standard of living.
But it wasn’t always like this.
3) Why you can trust your bank (female voice only)
Without even thinking about it, most of us trust our banks because we are accustomed to a sound banking system. The Fed plays a critical role in maintaining that trust by making sure that banks manage risk wisely….and by ensuring that banks follow laws regarding consumer rights and fair lending practices.
