Reporter #1:
The reality for so many people here is they have nowhere to go, nowhere to turn. This is home, certainly not the home that they knew before Hurricane Katrina, but this is where the heart is, for so many. Leaving is just not an option.

Reporter #2:
Many of the local residents here are still asking, “Where is the help?” It’s been 14 days since Hurricane Katrina tore through this area and today, little recourse has been seen in the areas most affected. Many are losing hope, which – in many cases – is all they have left.

Reporter #3:
We’re talking about widespread destruction here – Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, parts of Alabama – with wind and rain damage, properties leveled to the ground. Many areas are literally unrecognizable as familiar structures no longer exist. A heartbreaking reality for so many whose homes have been taken by Hurricane Katrina.

Reporter #4:
We’re flooded with reports of untold violence in the city as looters roam the streets. Many have become desperate as New Orleans crumbles in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Reporter # 5:
An unbelievable amount of devastation across the Gulf as Hurricane Katrina makes landfall. Lives feared lost. Homes and businesses destroyed, and hardship ahead as residents struggle to find their way through this horrific ordeal.
