Project Main Details

Ex Club Ogden
Collection of animated adventure stories based on the exploits of that so-named society of adventurers. The animation will be highly stylized illustrations and the project is intended to premiere on the Web. Storylines vary widely in the series, action ranges to all conceivable (and many inconceivable) corners of the globe.

We hope to have an actor perform multiple roles and record all of the
required material in a 2 or 4 hour session depending on the size of the
role. The segments are only 8 minutes long each. Please send us your rates.

Script Details

John Ogden - Middle-age male. Massive black-bearded trooper;
towering soldier; deep flat voice; action-oriented;
terrifying to young audience; violent but would seldom
resort to shouting. Engl accent okay but not necessary [and
only if authentic]. Compare to: Stellan Skarsgard [from
“King Arthur,” “Pirates of the Caribbean”]

I was a boy of Mr. Renton's age,
attached to my uncle in the service,
when he was sent overland to
China...We took a party of Gurkhas in
a heavy fog, somewhere about Regong.
We were ten or more to their one...
An "overwhelming force" like yours,
Father. Armed with old matchlock
rifles, like these men.
A Gurkha will sooner fight than not,
of course, so out come our guns and,
strange to see, the savages go bellydown
in the road, and not a peep out
of them. My uncle studies this for
some minutes, in a darkening mood.
Then he orders the cannon rolled
right over them, and all be damned.
Well, up jump the Nepalese. And with
never a word between them, they raise
their knives and fall on us like men
demented. In hours, the way is
blocked with bodies, horses and men,
several deep, and the Nepalese miles
away. It was me they spared, to bring
this news back to India.
If my uncle and his men aren't in
hell right now, then there's no such
place. No, the wonder of it- and the
point of the story--is how we'd fifty
guns at Regong, and not one man got
off a shot.
