Project Main Details

English voices for language learning software
LTK91020082872X
English (Midwestern American).
Project Synopsis:
You will be recording audio that will be used in a language learning software program. The script will contain approximately 9,960 words over 2,550 lines (queues) to be read. Many of the lines will have just a single word and the longest lines will have a few sentances. Across the whole script, the average number of words per line is 4.

Deliverables:
The files must be delivered in non-compressed wav format and those files must also be cut up and batched into individual mp3 files according to a naming and numbering convention that we specify. The numbering will correspond to the line number of each line in the script. Therefore, you will be delivering the following:
1 Wav file FOR EACH LINE in the script
1 MP3 file FOR EACH LINE in the script
1 Wav file with the recording of the entire script
1 MP3 file with the recording of the entire script

We need an adult male and an adult female.
English (Midwestern American)

The speakers must speak with the native dialect. In other words, they must not have an accent. All recordings must be made in a soundproof studio with quality recording equipment.

3 Listen

4 Throughout this lesson, we will examine the conversation part by part.

6 Hello. How are you?

7 Every time the native speaker says something, repeat what you hear out loud.

8 It may feel strange at first, but do your best to imitate the native speaker as precisely as possible.

9 Now you try.

10 Say.

11 Remember that words and phrases of the same color have the same meaning.
