This job involves recording several words and sentences, one at a time, in separate mini-recordings. The recorded words and sentences are intended to help English learners from developing countries who want to learn English. For this reason, each word/sentence must be pronounced slowly and clearly. Despite being spoken slowly, a given sentence should be spoken emotively (non-robotically), with emotions appropriate to the sentence.
The words and sentences will be uploaded to a website that provides English learning free of charge to the visitor. The website's aim is to archive large amounts of recorded audio instruction (i.e., hundreds, and eventually thousands, of words and sentences). When bidding on this project, please take into account both the free nature of the website, and the fact that future jobs with large amounts of recorded voiceover are likely. I'm looking to improve the recorded content that's already on the website by working with voiceover professionals, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we require a fancy sound studio that would be used for a radio commercial.
It would be best for me if I paid you by the mini-recording (by the MP3 file), rather than by the hour or work or by the minute of recording. Thus, if you're able, please submit your bid on the project in that way.
I will give full instruction and guidance as to my recording needs, and will be available to answer questions at any time. This first job (Order 1) involves the recording of 47 single words and 141 sentences, for a total of 188 separate mini-recordings. All of the words and sentences are very simple (i.e. appropriate for beginning/intermediate English learners). You will need to have MS Excel to be able to view the attached file with words/sentences.
You can be located anywhere, including non-US countries, but you must be a native USA English speaker, without a strong regional accent (i.e. no strong Southern, Boston, Long Island, etc. accents please).
