Project Main Details
I am looking for several different voice talents for our production. Ideally, I am looking for an actor who can perform several different voices (there are 8 male speaking parts). Someone who can change tone (one nasally, one raspy, one very deep, etc.) but still speak in English with a French accent for each voice. The French accent should be authentic. Many Europeans will be playing the game and commenting in the forums. I want to make sure that our voice talent is speaking with a real French accent.
This audition is for two of the minor character parts. There are several parts like this in the game. De Marquet, the Magistrate is a chief of police who hates his job and disdains city life. He would much rather live in the countryside. So, he hopes the mystery is never solved so he can spend time at Saint-Genevieve, strolling around the lake and forest. His deputy is a younger man who tags along and agrees with De Marquet on everything (which is why he has the position of deputy to the Magistrate).
This scene takes place on a train as the Magistrate and Deputy are discussing the murder scene. They are reading an article about the murder in the paper. 2011-06-30 21:55:06 GMT 2011-07-04 18:00:00 (GMT -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 0 0 5 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Magistrate De Marquet: How can this be? The yellow room was locked, dead-bolted from the inside. Firm iron bars on the only window. Solid brick walls. How did the murderer escape?
Deputy Dupier: Yes, a strange and stupefying mystery indeed. We may never know the answer.
Magistrate De Marquet: Ah, I hope it is never solved. I love the countryside, Deputy Dupier. This is the life. To breath the fresh air every day. I’m tired of the city.
Deputy Dupier: But Magistrate, it is our duty to solve the case.
Magistrate De Marquet: Oui, oui. But if the case is unsolvable, then we shall have to stay in the village of Saint-Genevieve for a long time. That is my hope.
