Script Details

Please read a sample of the script.
E-mail is one of the most common technologies used at ********. You will find employees using Microsoft Outlook and Web Access to check their email. While these emails seem to be safe, traveling just back and forth between users, it couldn't be more false; email is definitely not a secure technology.

When an email is sent, the sender can supply their own name and email address, opening up the ability to forge emails. As you can see in this script, it takes no time at all to generate an email using any sender address.

You can receive an email that seems to be from your friend or from your boss, but when you open in or click on a link from it, you could be taken to a page on the internet that downloads viruses, trojans, or other security threats.

What can you do about this nightmare? Double check the sender of each message and if in-doubt, send them a reply email asking for clarification. As long as the reply email goes to the correct address, there is no way to spoof the email to a different address. So, you're safe. Having up-to-date antivirus protection will also help.
