Elinor Wylie ZDLTK494027721652X
Reading three poems (as an introduction) by Elinor Wylie, early 20th century American poet, for a new website aimed at bringing voice and poetry together in a revival of the spoken word as an art. There is no single emotion, pronunciation or idea to request here. Each poem will speak for itself. It's a matter of the voice artist capturing the voice and character the poem contains and interpreting it.
I will attach three of Elinor Wylie's less challenging poems. Ultimately, the voice artist who can "become" the voice for this poetry will be associated with it on the new site, and this will lead to a relationship with the possibility of some kind of audio product.

Let us walk in the white snow
In a soundless space;
With footsteps quiet and slow,
At a tranquil pace,
Under veils of white lace.
If any have a stone to shy,
Let him be David and not I;
The lovely shepherd, brave and vain,
Who has a maggot in the brain,
Which, since the brain is bold and pliant,
Takes the proportions of a giant.
