Elearning test project for Dutch
Dear voice talent,

We are a software localization company in the south of France.

We have an increasing number of audio projects as part of our e-learning translation projects and are looking into setting up a stable team of talents for various languages, among which Dutch. We require Dutch native speakers only who can record from their home studios.

The voices requested are formal, serious, matter-of-fact for trainings of Dutch native speakers. The delivery consists of clean (no background noise, no breathing) audio files.

Usually, our clients request the delivery of numerous audio files (e.g. one file per sentence). In order to cut down on this post-production work as much as possible, we ask the audio vendor to record only few files containing the entire text. These files will then be split up again into several smaller files.
In order to indicate the splitting point a pause of 2 sec must be inserted by the audio vendor. The splitting points become clear when looking at the .xls script where each text segment (which becomes a separate file later on) is presented in one cell/one row.
The audio vendor is requested to insert markers/cues into the pauses which in turn allows an automated splitting process to take place.

We have created a test project for this purpose of about 100 words that will require
a) recording and
b) inserting markers/cues.

You will find the script on Voice123.
You will also find there the more detailed instructions on the test project.

For an initial audition please upload your audition file to Voice 123.
Once your voice generally approved, however, we will need to check the correct insertion of pauses and cue points which can only be done if recorded as a .wav file (PCM unsigned 16-bit, 44,1 kHz stereo file in .wav format – see instructions).

Please get in touch with me if you are interested in participating in this audition.

Based on the above information, please indicate your rate per source audio minute.

Thanks and
Best regards/Cordialement/Mit freundlichen Grüßen
