Living in the age of wireless internet in every coffee shop…hundreds of television channels to choose from…artificial hearts that save lives…and cars that can parallel park themselves…it’s hard to imagine living any other way….But let’s try: No internet…no television…no doctors…no transportation other than your own two feet….No technology at all.

That was the reality millions of years ago – caves, hunting, gathering, and struggling to survive. Understanding where we started gives us insight into where we’re going. Welcome to World History, where we’ll explore ancient man and the strides we’ve made throughout the years. In semester one, we’ll tackle six modules.

Module One: "The Bare Necessities: Early Man"...Hunting and gathering were the basis for man’s survival. Find food or perish. But gradually, we learned how to grow food…trade food…and create an economy and a true civilization. You’ll need a solid understanding of these transitions in your job as an archaeologist.

Module Two: "The Best Provision: Classical Civilizations"...For a modern day astronomer, classical civilizations are where it all begins. Navigating ancient waters and reading the will of the Gods in the stars are the basis for your research today.

Module Three: "Rulers of the World: Dynasties and Empires"...Computer games may be the latest technology, but learning about the past is bound to give you ideas on building a new world of empires and rulers for the gamers of today.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
