Project Main Details

Educational Animation Web Project Female
We are producing a short animated educational video (5-7min) for school kids in the 4-7th grade levels. A young girl submitting her science project discusses the life cycle and benefits of Bio-Char, with an animated lump of Biochar who comes to life. The tone is straight forward on the science stuff with some wry humor interspersed. This is a smart young girl talking to a hard-workin' chunk of dirt who feels under-appreciated.

*Prefer a teenaged girl rather than an adult woman simulating a teenage voice.

*The animated piece of biochar has a gruff voice: think yosemite sam, bender or oscar the grouch. He's a blue-color, hard-working, no-nonsense guy.

Script Details

***custom demo required***
Female character sample:

"Challenge Accepted!"

NICOLE speaks to the audience as the camera pulls in close to the plots.

"I hope you don't mind if I work while I talk. There's just so much to do and so little time."

Seeds fall on the first plot's soil as she shakes a package.

"Our teachers challenged us to turn a type of waste into something useful."

Title words - The Challenge: Turn a type of waste into something more useful.

"It can be anything, but I'm sure that my BIOCHAR is going to win!"

Male character sample:
For Biochap, these take him from conversation to barking orders. Note: Nicole's lines are in here to give the actor some context.

Are you... my biochar?

"That's right, and I want to know if you think that you grew all of these plants by yourself."

The camera pulls in on BIOCHAP.

"Of course I did. It was my idea, my project for the challenge."

"Well, if that's what you think... good luck winning your first prize without us."

BIOCHAP presses a button on the elevator controls which takes him fully out of the soil.

"Come on up biochars! We're on STRIKE!"

The ground and plants shake as the rest of the biochar pull themselves out of the soil.

"Everyone pick up your roots! We're planting them somewhere we'll be appreciated!"
