You will be contacted with a time and date for your audition.
Please include your Name, Phone Number, and any relevant experience along with the names of the roles you wish to read for.
Agents/Talent should choose 3 roles that they feel they would be appropriate for. We will try to get to all three during the audition depending on the schedule at the time.
Note for actors: If you do not regularly play video games it would be a very good idea to play a few (fantasy RPG’s to be specific) in order to prepare for the audition.
All male actors are asked to read for the Castle Guards as well as any other characters that they are reading for.
5 years after being captured, held prisoner and robbed of his power by the evil tyrant Grandel, the Hero is rescued by his former enemies the Orc’ s.
In this mission the Hero finds himself in a dark castle. After being rescued by the Orcs he enters the swamp. A mysterious and cursed place where once you enter you cannot leave. 20 years ago a young magician casted a spell to try to break the barrier, only it backfired causing a tragic catastrophe. Many people died and monstrous creatures were unleashed. Among the dead was Natalie, beloved of Sigmund. Besieged by despair he has since dedicated his life to protecting the citizens of the swamp from the easily disturbed and vicious creatures that now reside there.
Voice age: 30 to 35.
Character info: A former bounty hunter and warrior for hire, he is now setting out on a personal mission to uncover the secrets behind a series of mysterious tales linked to him and his sisters. He will usually act on the side of good, but will also do what is necessary to get the answers he seeks.
Voice notes: He can be harsh, but should always sound appealing and charismatic. Think King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) from the movie 300 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgrsNBu51nU
2: Darel, the Orc Assassin:
Voice age: Early 30’s, though mature.
Character info: Strong, slender and alluring. Of all the Orcs she is the kindest and most helpful to the Hero and is destined to become his lover, but she is impatient and expects her directives to be followed. Born half Orc, half human she often finds herself conflicted and conflicting with others.
Voice notes: Smooth, sensual, languid and exotic. Kind of calm and whispering voice, quiet and pleasant, from behind her mask. Consider the use of an accent, possibly Welsh, to add to the character’s femininity.
3: The Priest
***If you audition for this character you will also HAVE to audition for the Demon (see notes below).***
Voice age: 45 to 50
Character: Darkly handsome, with raven-black hair, moustache and goatee, he has aged well and looks to be in his 40’s despite being far beyond 50.
His good looks and commanding, intimidating presence allow him to quickly gain the trust of those he encounters. He has used this ability to position himself as the leader of the community and is seen as their one remaining beacon of hope. However this is nothing more than a ruse to hide his sinister ambitions.
Envision this character as somewhat of a cult leader. Together, the player is presented with a very compelling cult leader like speaker whose shrill undertones may foreshadow his cruel intentions and a possible betrayal.
Voice notes: A charismatic, decisive, confident voice that is slightly hypnotic and unsettling. He speaks with a seductive eloquence that evokes trust. His voice should be a bit less shrill and more soothing, almost like a lullaby; hypnotizing the hero with his every word. A slight breathy, shrill voice with a soothing Baritone foundation would work really well. The slight shrill element adds to the characters “shifty” or “weasel” like traits; while toning it down with a breathy mask and baritone or tenor undertones contributes to the calming and confident aspects of his voice.

4: The Demon
**** Actors are allowed to audition for this role even if they are not auditioning for The Priest.****
Voice age: 4000 years old
Character: The Demon is 4000 years old and as evil as hell made him. This creature occupies the priest’s body, feeding on the pain, misery and blood of humans.
Voice notes: Deep, booming voice of a giant, terrifying and powerful demon.
Voice age: Mid-40’s
Character: A handsome and strong man, laden with depression from the loss of his beloved Natalie and the self-imposed burden of protecting the survivors in his doomed village. Ever since he lost Natalie in a catastrophe that all but destroyed their village, the care of it citizens is the only reason why he still feels any need to live.
Voice notes: It should be credible that the villagers trust him and rely on him. His voice should imply strength, but the pain of his memories and the fatigue and effort to “go on” should be evident. The talent for this role must be able to convincingly develop the arc and range of the character from the harsh local hero, and, when he is young, the caring friend and secret lover. We would like to hear auditions with or without an Australian accent.
6: The Orc Chief
Voice age: 50’s
Character: He is the master of all surviving orcs. As intelligent as he is strong, he commands respect in those who meet him. He gives an order once and expects it to be followed. In the beginning he is contemptuous and dismissive of the hero, considering him to be essentially useless, just a new toy that the Queen wants to have. But his attitude grows more positive as events develop, and he begins to view the hero as a worthy one.
Voice notes: He is tough and grizzled, with a deep, booming voice, almost a growl. As intelligent as he is strong, he commands respect. When listening to him you must believe him to be the leader. It is important to note that he should not sound too methodical or intellectual. A good reference point is Michael Dorn (Worf) from Star Trek: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Kr2XP0RCtI (Watch 0:42 – 0:56 on the 2:37 second clip)
7: The Orc archer
Voice age: 50’s
Character: Quiet and secretive, he speaks rarely, but when he does, his deep yet polite voice shows his intelligence and knowledge. His initial demeanour may make the Hero think that the Orc dislikes and distrusts him and is too contemptuous to even speak a word to him – but that is just his manner; even fellow Orcs know only as much of him as he chooses to tell them.
Voice notes: Deep and perhaps hoarse. Speaks in a methodical and thoughtful manner. Think Boba Fett from Star Wars but less evil. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a897FGgDJy8
8: The Orc Mage
Voice age: 45
Character: Crude and impulsive, a self-taught primitive magician. In spite of being much more skilled in magic than most Orcs ever could be, he is a battle mage rather than a learned wizard, and so his demeanour and speaking manner do not differ much from what a human would expect from any Orc. He is prone to outbursts of a very Orc-like fight rage, which is where his magical abilities become of use.
Voice notes: Typical Orc voice, he speaks in a surly and rumbling voice, more primitive than intelligent. A stark contrast to the Orc Chief. Think Gothmog from Lord of the Rings but deeper and less evil. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bFTw95pJp8
Voice age: 40’s
Character: He is a trusted consigliore to Grandel, but his goal is to use his master’s power for his own evil gain. If he is at all afraid of Grandel, it does not show. Usually reserved and in control, but his hatred for the Orcs can lead to fits of rage.
Voice notes: He should sound intelligent and his voice must be that of a good warrior. Think Darth Maul from Star Wars The Phantom Menace. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Kr2XP0RCtI
Voice age: 40’s
Character: He is the primary villain, obsessed with power and control. His obsession with power is such that it has left him dehumanized and more of an evil deity.
Voice notes: Deep and resonant. May need to be run through a filter to achieve the effect we are looking for. Think Apocalypse from X-Men the T.V. series. Notice in the clip, his voice almost sounds inhuman.
11: Castle Guards:
Voice age: 40’s
Character and voice notes: Standard guards but should have a discernable amount of personality.
