Project Main Details
English teaching on-going eLearning project. We are the production house representing the eLearning client. There will be a series of audio modules featuring reoccurring cast of characters. This is designed to teach english to non-US residents in an entertaining way through the context of business. The modules will be approximately 5 finished minutes per. These VO's are the first in the series to include approximately 180 modules, so this an opportunity to get a part in an ongoing series.
1. Professional studio to record from with a phone patch so we can tie you into our recording studio so you can interact with talent that we have live in our studio.
2. You do not need to edit. We will do the Post work. You perform and record and send us the raw audio wav files via our ftp client.
3. You must be available Monday, August 29 between 9am - 5pm Eastern Standard Time. The specific block of time within that window will be defined prior to Monday.
$30 US per 5 minute module. We estimate 30 minutes of recording per 5 minute module. Two keys here are that there's no editing and if cast, you will be doing many more.

Character and description:
Technical Director-Doug Reid
Hi there, I’m Doug Reid from British Columbia. I’m Technical Director, but more importantly I’m an avid survivalist and often preoccupied with the belief that Bigfoot is not merely a legend but a truth. I’m secretly determined to be the first to locate one. I spend all of my vacation and income on searching for Sasquatch and use my technical skills to create inventions to help in this pursuit. I have three “normal”, independent children and breed Persian cats. 2011-08-25 17:08:42 GMT 2011-08-28 17:00:00 (GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 0 0 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. They have singled out one and are preparing to discuss it between themselves and their Human Resources Director who is on speaker phone from Paris, France. The Human Resources Director pretends he is in his office but it is obvious that he is calling from a tennis match as, unbeknownst to him, the score and crowd noises can be heard in the background. There are shouts of “deuce!”, “Love”, and frequent rounds of applause and shouting.
NOTE: The name Georges must be delivered in the French pronunciation.
ELIZABETH: (She is very impressed by the pool of applicants. Elizabeth is calm, mature and direct. She is speaking to Carly and Doug but also towards the phone on speaker.)Well, Doug and Carly, I’ve looked at several of the applications already; many of the individuals applying have outstanding accomplishments. This is going to be a challenging decision. Let’s see if Georges is on speaker phone yet. (Addressing the phone speaker) Georges? Are you there? We are looking at the first candidate on the list; the one with the Master’s degree. You’re our Human Resources guy so we really need your input on this.
GEORGES: (voice of Frenchman) Yes, yes Elizabeth, how are you? How are you, Douglas? Hello, Carly! (There are sounds of a sporting match taking place. Georges makes a point of stressing how he has been at the office all day, as usual.) Busy day here in the office! I love my work. My office here is like my home. (There is the sound of a crowd reacting to a miss by a tennis player and the score is shouted 15-Love)
DOUG: (responds ) Hey Georges, I’m great, how are you? (smirking)
GEORGES: I am ready to go. We are very busy in the office today. Carly, I have the CV copies you sent. My administrative assistant is looking at qualifications and references. (There’s a shout of 30-love. Georges sighs) We are reviewing a large amount of information here. The first CV we are looking at is clear and easy to read. I am ready to discuss the Internal Change Manager position. (Applause is suddenly heard. One of the players has won a game. Georges quickly explains it away as the copier has finally been repaired and the other employees in the Paris office are happy and relieved. Sounding awkwardly surprised, Georges thinks fast.) They finally fixed the copy machine! Hurray! It has been down for three days and my main goal for the week.
DOUG: That’s good, Georges. Repairing the copier is an important objective. (humoring Georges) Looking at this first resume, the candidate has a solid background in management AND technology and could be an efficient Internal Change Manager. This candidate is of course a high school graduate, and he has the appropriate college degrees. He has listed his language skills, relevant training, and computer capabilities. But can he motivate people and bring about real change? That’s what I’d like to know.
ELIZABETH: He has listed his career history in reverse chronological order, just like we like it!
DOUG: It’s neat and brief; no typos. The candidate doesn’t overdo it with color, either. It’s very legible.
ELIZABETH: And references are available on request.
GEORGES: Yes, and they are available immediately! (more applause sounds from the stadium.)
CARLY: (a bit arrogantly; although she is present, Elizabeth and Doug address each other and the speaker phone more than they do Carly) Our employees have to be self- directed, intelligent and have the most cutting edge education in business and management. Megachex Globalis one of the biggest multinational payroll corporations in the world! We only hire the best! Of course we are all aware of this fact. Elizabeth? Doug? (she condescends) you know the market and our needs.
GEORGES DURAND: Exactly, Carly! Megachex Globalsets an example for the world to follow. Everyone that works in my department here in Paris has a distinguished track record in sales, management, and corporate responsibility. (Suddenly, the word “deuce” is shouted from the tennis court. Carly is too clueless to question anything.)
ELIZABETH: (looking closely at the resume) This individual increased sales at his previous job by 50% and managed a staff of several people. He is highly recommended by his previous employer. Doug, what do you think?
DOUG: Well, he certainly has the appropriate skills to be Internal Change Manager. It says here he has had intensive training. If Megachex Globaldecides to consolidate two locations, he will be responsible for moving personnel and offices. It is an important responsibility.
CARLY: What about his Profile? Look to his individual profile! Is he enthusiastic and highly motivated? What are his hobbies and interests?
DOUG: (perks up at the phrase “hobbies and interests”) You mean like how my hobby is finding the North American Sasquatch?
CARLY: (impassioned) Yes, Douglas! Just like your love of Bigfoot! We want our employees to be involved in their world, to launch new concepts, projects, and corporate strategies! Does he have strong leadership skills? Has the candidate completed an internship that required him to negotiate like an effective manager? Our employees always exhibit strong inter-personal skills, like myself, I might add. They implement creative approaches and ideas, but most of all embrace challenge!
ELIZABETH: Well, he graduated from one of the best schools of business. With his knowledge and experience, I think we should schedule him for an interview. What do you think, Georges? Doug?
DOUG and GEORGES: (simultaneous agreement) Absolutely! Excellent! Let’s give him a call…
CARLY: (trying to take charge of the process) Alright, that’s one down. Who’s next on the list of candidates? Remember, they’ve got to be dependable and decisive! Not just anybody can make a career here at Megachex, as we well know!
