This new concept provides an integrated and interactive classroom that mirrors the cabin environment, and facilitates practical training and troubleshooting opportunities. Students will have access to all the systems and features found in a typical aircraft cabin, combined with the resources and convenience of a high-tech classroom.
The classroom will incorporate a full-size and fully-functional ********** large cabin environment, including furniture, cabinetry, electronics, lavatory features, and systems control units. Students will be accomplish interactive training at computer workstations in the center of the classroom, and engage in hands-on exercises in the cabin at either side.
For example, students will be able to study the following cabin operation functions:
- Waste System
- Water System
- Cabin Communications
- Furnishings
- Advanced Cabin Management System
- Cabin Operations Checklist
Waste System
Students will be able to review the operation, maintenance, and alternative flushing procedures for the on-board waste system.
Water System
Students will cover the full range of operating procedures for the on-board water system, including flow checks, purging, cold weather operations, and more.
Cabin Communications
Students will be able to review the operation and maintenance of on-board cabin communications topics, including BBML, high-speed data applications, emergency situations, and MMEL.
Cabin Furnishings
Students will learn how to make adjustments and repairs to window shades, adjust chairs and divans for berthing, and operate the galley for passengers.
Advanced Cabin Management Systems
Students will learn the features, operation and integration of on-board advanced cabin management systems.
Cabin Operations Checklist
Students will also be familiarized with the cabin operations checklist, and learn to document discrepancies to enhance troubleshooting and repair opportunities for maintenance crews.
Training in the classroom will be designed to develop skills required for specific job responsibilities and educational advancement preferences. Students will follow this general training progression:
Level one: basic description and operation of the cabin system or procedure.
Level two: advanced operation, diagnostics, and corrective field techniques.
Level three: maintenance and repair.
Levels two and three will include the ability to induce and troubleshoot faults, and will certify the attendee as an *****************************, and will provide continued communication regarding recurrent training opportunities and technology upgrades
