Crisis situations role of Steve
Tight turnaround of Thursday July 15 COB

This course provides an overview of effective practices when responding to crisis situations involving military service members and/or their families.

This project is the role of Steve, a military family support coordinator that is providing advice for 4 specific scenarios.

The background for Steve is:
Steve has worked with families via the Army Community Services division for the past fifteen years. Sometimes he thinks he has heard just about every problem out there.

Over the years he has run into some pretty difficult situations, but he has worked hard to build good referral options for his families and service members. He will give us his insight on handling tough situations.

The tone will be of a concerned person who is sharing their advice and experience with learners who are coming into a new and similar job role.

Script Details

Script for auditions below.
That's a tough situation. The first thing you need to find out is: Where are they right now and make sure they are in a safe place. Ask them if they have any family members that are also being affected. Then you'll want to help them figure out where they can stay for the immediate future. Ask about any family or friends in the area with whom they may be able to stay for a day or two. Ask if they’ve already contacted their unit command. You might also suggest they reach out to their religious group, if they are affiliated with one.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
