Script Details

What’s in a hospital bill? We all get them. We all pay them. But why is it so hard to understand why our health care costs so much?

Let’s crack the code, starting with coverage. Pricing depends on whether you have Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance or self-pay.
If you have Medicare or Medicaid, the major difference is that the government decides what is covered and what your doctor or hospital gets paid. The fact is, it costs hospitals more treating patients with Medicare or Medicaid than they get back from Uncle Sam in reimbursement. And then if you have commercial insurance, companies independently negotiate payment rates with each hospital.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
