Project Main Details

Commercials Radio Chronic Disease Prevention
Audition Direction: over the top like the Radio Announcers for car racing events. We will produce with lots of echo and make it sound like one of those obnoxious commercials.

We're looking for two different announcers. So, you can read each of the announcer roles for an audition. Don't read the Radio or Clerk roles, they are there for reference.

Chronic Disease Prevention
Texas DSHS

RADIO: (Jingle) C’mon down to Burger Bob’s
Order some heart disease (with cheese)
Grease those arteries watch ‘em clog
Finish with a scoop of type 2 diabetes
ANNCR: Want to avoid chronic disease? Eat more veggies and fruit. And stay away from the bad stuff. You know what it is.

ANNCR:It’s Sunday, Sunday, Sunday,
And you’re feeling like a slug, slug, slug
Chained to your remote control like a giant couch potato
Keep watching and you’ll see what a stroke feels like,
Or better yet, a heart attack.
And let’s not forget, you’re a slug, slug, slug

ANNCR:Take a 30-minute walk every day. Or take the stairs instead of the elevator. They’re little things, but they work.

CLERK: (Jingle) You can smoke and you can dip
Put that cancer in your lip
Buy Emphysema Lites, you’ll just want more
And a carton of Lung Cancer--It’s to die for.

ANNCR: And stay away from tobacco at all costs. Do these easy things and you’ll feel better now and prevent chronic disease later. Learn more. Go to ******************.
