So it can't sound too canned or newsreporter like.. More hip, current and trendy.. So not like NBC nightly NEWS... more like Entertainment Tonight or TMZ..... Just fun and snappy! Casual and free!

GTC NR – Global Soap Project Transcript
Gwinnett Tech student volunteers are finding out the benefits of recycling common bar soap for impoverished people in the world.

They are helping to make new soap that will bring others hope and better health.

Since 2009, The Global Soap Project has distributed nearly 1 million bars of soap in 28 countries around the world. They’re hoping to distribute nearly 2 million new bars this year.

Student Life Director Rachel Mariano says that this fits right into
the agenda at Gwinnett Tech.

The Plant Manager at the Global Soap Project Eric Guthrie is in charge of educating and helping the students understand the process.

More that 1,000 hotels across North America and other worldwide
companies are participating in removing more than 7,500 pounds of soap from landfills.

The Global Soap Project converts these discarded bars of soap into 30,000 new bars.

The project at Global Soap is just one example of Gwinnett students helping out in our community.

April Smolkowicz Who is pursuing an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Technology sums up the importance each individual can make.
