MOLINERO: “Tengo una hija capaz de hilar la paja y convertirla en oro.”

REY: “Si tu hija es tan lista como dices, traéla mañana a mi castillo, que la pondré a prueba.”

NARRADOR: Cuando le trajeron a la muchacha, el Rey la condujo a una habitación repleta de paja. Había también una rueca y un taburete. El Rey le dijo:

REY: “Ahora a trabajar; y si mañana temprano no has convertido esta paja en oro, morirás.”
