Project Main Details

Charles The Chef Animation Shorts Calvin
We are seeking funding to produce 15 to 20 on average one minute animated shorts for public television stations. Our shorts are being developed to assist children in making healthy food choices. We have the interest of a local station who has seen our pilot and may wish to distribute the shorts as psa's or fillers. So I'm seeking voice talent in preparation. This one we are looking for is a young adult male or teenage boy who speaks English but has high energy voice that is filled with excitement. The character's name is Calvin. He is a stove in the animated short. And since he is hot and fiery, he loves a good joke. The script is included. If you wish to look at our animated intro please visit

Episode 13 Keeping Cooking Fun

We enter the kitchen of Charles the Chef. His kitchen friends are alive and have their signature expressions. Charles is behind the counter as we close in on him and Thomas.

Charles: Hello come in. It’s me Charles the Chef and this is Thomas my magical chef hat.

Thomas: What’s on the menu for today Charles?

Charles: The importance of cooking safely. To keep cooking fun there are certain rules to follow.

Charles walks over to Calvin where he is cooking a stew.

Thomas: Like never operate a stove or oven without your parents help. Right Calvin?

Calvin: Heh! That’s for sure! It’s always best to have an adult nearby to make sure the stove is working properly. Like me!

Charles: And it’s good to remember that some foods mostly vegetables are better steamed than boil or fried to keep them full of nutrients. So make cooking fun not harmful. This is Charles the Chef saying eat better to live better. Till next time.

Charles leans over and smells the stew.
