Narrator: ****** policy P765 Employee Time and Effort defines the correct way to report time and defines the business rules that apply to difference situations.

The Oracle Time and Labor system is********official labor reporting tool.

Time should be entered by the employee. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that time for work performed is charged to the correct project codes, with no exceptions. All new employees should be trained on how to use the OTL system. Make sure you have a correct project code before you begin work.

Time should be entered on a daily bases. If you do not log into the time system daily, you should keep a detailed record of the time you spend on each project and enter it at the end of your work week. This can be done by using a time and labor log.

Timekeepers have been assigned to each group by the group managers and can assist in time entry if the employee provides the timekeeper with documentation.

Hours entered on a timesheet are used to distribute cost to the project the employee has worked on and for take home pay calculations.

Absences, such as sick-leave, vacation and holidays should be posted toward the absence code. Project Code: V50000 Task: 0000000

Time must be entered and submitted for managers’ approval the last day of the week in which the employee is present at work. Time must be diligently reviewed and approved by the manager every Monday by 10:00 AM.

In the following videos we will emphasize key business rules we need to follow in order to correctly enter time and labor. Also, we will illustrate through role playing the most common problem areas that were discovered through floor checks.
