Script Details

Sample script provided by the seeker below, please read a portion for auditions.
Advertising is a part of life. It has been around forever, and it’s everywhere you look, but now TV advertising is starting to change. More and more, audiences are time shifting through 30 second spots. This means networks don’t have the money to produce new shows and advertisers have no way to reach their audience. So the television industry is getting creative. It’s finding new ways to make people watch ads.

A company will pay to have its product appear on a show. It could be used by a famous personality or could be important to the plot line of an episode.

Shows can be centered around a product. That product can then be sold independently from the show, generating revenue.

Instead of including advertising, maybe the viewers pay the producers directly by buying episodes online or paying for premium cable channels.

The content producers and products become partners, making an interesting or informational spot, which combines advertising with entertainment.

These may be short ads that appear when you load a show in an online viewer, or they could be “in line” ads that match the content being viewed.

These ads are so risqué, funny or crazy that they can’t be shown on TV, so people watch them on the Internet, just for fun!

These are just a few ways the TV industry is getting creative with advertising. Can you think of more? Go to our site and tell us what you think! Advertising will never go away, so let’s make it better!
