[Self-assuredly] During my last visit, my doctor pointed out that actually 70 to 80% of people who get colon cancer don’t have a family history of it. I didn’t think I needed screening, but he said that I should get it, even though cancer isn’t in my family.
[Scoffing..a teeny bit outraged] You want me to do what with that card? I dunno… that’s kinda gross!
[A bit disbelieving he’s being urged to do this] Yeah! But I don’t smoke… I eat pretty good, no one in my family has had cancer! Look, I can’t afford a bunch of tests!
