Project Main Details
We are working on a call to action video to talk about the plight of these people with a run time of about 1 minute
We will edit the VO to time for the video
All we will need is an edit point between paragraphs
We're thinking a college age female with the the ability to emote their story. Not sure if we will want an Indian accent or not...
Perhaps a read with both if you have that sound
Think of the read as you telling an impassioned story about these people to a friend
Thank you in advance

Opening Video—Animated motion background with dark colors/textures/images / Animated text over video background:
Imagine…A nightmare that you can’t wake up from, a horrible dream from which there is no escape…Now imagine that it’s not a nightmare at all.
This is real...
For generations The Dalit people of India have been outcasts in their own communities. They are the most trafficked people in the world. They’re referred to as “Untouchable” and suffer the unthinkable on a daily basis. Worst of all is what’s happening to the children…
Every day—even at this very moment—Dalit children—mostly young girls—are being sold to the highest bidder into a life of slavery, forced labor and prostitution…a very literal living nightmare from which there is no escape. They have no support, no voice…no freedom.
But what they do have is hope. For over a decade, the Non-Profit Organization has worked tirelessly to lift these people from their oppression. We have found the best way to combat this trafficking is prevention through education.
By building schools, the Non-Profit Organization sees Dalit children that once lived in dread and hopelessness begin to realize their own worth. They’re equipped with the skills necessary to move forward in life; to thrive…forever leaving behind the label of “untouchable.”
But it doesn’t stop there. In fact, that’s just the beginning. As schools take shape, employment opportunities arise and the area is transformed with new vitality. A sense of freedom, empowerment and hope begins to emerge, awakening the entire community from a very dark sleep, and encouraging them to rise up.
The Non-Profit Organization is a collection of like-minded individuals, community and college groups, organizations and churches who are declaring an end to the injustices occurring in India today. And we want YOU to join us in this journey. We have created a sustainable, turn-key solution that can be replicated from one community to another, and will change the future for countless Dalit children and their families. That’s where you come in. We have the know-how and the experience. We’ve seen the results, and we’re energized by the possibilities. What we need now is you. We need you to invest yourself in the lives of children that you will probably never meet, simply because they’re worth it. And the time to act is NOW.
We need YOU… We need you to feel. We need you to care. We need you to help us bring light into unimaginable darkness. We need you… to GIVE.
