Project Main Details

Bukowski in the Park
We are producing a short episode for a popular comedy series. This episode is entirely based on excerpts from Charles Bukowski's most famous literary works. For this particular piece we need a voice over from a very animated, exuberant pirate, of the Pirates of the Caribbean variety or even from Somalia. We are trying different quotes out with this particular voice direction so we have provided three different short scripts for all of those who are interested in auditioning.

Script Details

***Sample script provided for auditions.
Option 1:

Not many have style
Not many can keep style
I have seen dogs with more style than men,
although not many dogs have style.
Cats have it with abundance.

Option 2:

“There was nothing really as glorious as a good beer shit—I mean after drinking twenty or twenty-five beers the night before. The odor of a beer shit like that spread all around and stayed for a good hour-and-a-half. It made you realize that you were really alive.”

Option 3:

How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 6:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
