Project Main Details

Bourbon Training 1
This is an online course to train sales people on a bourbon brand.

The reader should be friendly and sincere, sound genuinely interested in the topic and not sound too monotone. We want some personality and maybe just a bit of friendly attitude and confidence. It would be great if it could sound just ever so slightly with a soft southern accent - like from Kentucky - where this product is made. But please nothing silly sounding and definitely not a backwoods accent at all. Probably best for a native of the South.

If you would like to audition, please record the short part of the product history section below.

If you have questions, please email me.

Bourbon’s colorful history is very much intertwined with the history of America itself.

For example, right after the Revolutionary War early settlers moved west in pursuit of free land. Many settled in Kentucky and began growing the native grain, corn. As it turns out, growing conditions were so perfect, there soon was a surplus of the grain. Settlers had to figure out a way to make that corn “pay.”

Being enterprising sorts, these pioneers began making whiskey – corn-based whiskey -- with the excess corn. As the settlers were mostly from the East Coast, where rye whiskey was the drink of choice, they chose to add a little rye back into the recipe. The result was a whiskey unlike any other – Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.

About 1788, Jacob Beam, the first of the Beam distillers, moved his family to Kentucky and settled near Hardin Creek. It was there he began to distill the family’s first whiskey.

By 1795, Jacob had developed a market for his recipe and began making a name for the Beam family in whiskey.
