Project Main Details
The story is set in a rural backyard in India. Bommi a 5 year old who lives with her parents in a rustic village in a house, with a well at the backyard and surrounded by trees. Her typical day would be to greet the sunrise with a smile and talk to the birds in the trees and run off to school. One day she receives a pop-up storybook as a gift from her grandfather and that becomes her “teddy bear”. She goes through a ritual of reading the book every night before going to sleep. She loves all the characters that appear in the book the giraffe, elephant, dog, monkey and the crow and little does she know that the animals have magical powers and can transform into live characters.
This is where the story unfolds, when one night Bommi does not take to the book. The animals get agitated and decide to go and meet her. They meet and an exciting relationship is formed between them. She is then taken through a magical journey into their book world where many surprises await her. The interaction between them in both settings (the magical book land and Bommi’s house ) leads to many situations and many exciting incidents take place.
