Project Main Details

Blackjack Documentary
This is one of several animations for a feature-length documentary on card-counting. The tone of the VO should be fun, instructional, but not over the top or cheesy. Just think "entertaining, but interesting documentary." If you can, give me 2 different reads. Thanks.

So, how does it all work?
There’s the players,…the managers,…and then you have the investors.
These investors give their money to the managers.
This money, totaling about 1.5 million dollars, makes up the team bankroll.
The managers then distribute this money to their trained professional blackjack players.
“100,000 for you….100,000 for you…”
The players then take this money to the casinos, where they count cards and win lots of money.
Hold on a minute!...the players don’t get to keep that money.
The players get paid an hourly wage for their time and all wins or losses go to the team. That’s right, they get paid the same hourly rate regardless of whether they win or lose.
Whenever the team winnings reach the 100 thousand dollar profit mark, this is called “closing a bankroll.” The main goal of the team is to close as many bankrolls as possible.
Every time they close a bankroll, the profits are split up among the managers, players, and investors, and everyone is happy. More bankrolls closed equals more happy players, managers and investors.
